Turkmenistan, Oman Foreign Ministers Hold Talks to Advance Bilateral Cooperation

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation on November 13, 2025, with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

During the talks, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further developing political dialogue and deepening economic cooperation. They also emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration between the two countries’ foreign ministries to support sustained diplomatic engagement.

The ministers noted the effective partnership between Turkmenistan and Oman within major international organizations, particularly the United Nations, where both states continue to coordinate on issues of shared interest.

Preparations for the upcoming International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 12 in Ashgabat, were also reviewed. The event will mark the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, and the International Day of Neutrality.

Both ministers expressed confidence that the forum would contribute to strengthening global peace initiatives and further elevating Turkmenistan’s role in promoting neutrality and dialogue on the international stage.
