Turkmenistan to celebrate Kurban Bayrami on June 28-30
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mehrijemal Mammadova reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the online cabinet meeting on Friday about the cultural events on the occasion of Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha) on June 28-30.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out the importance of holding all planned events at a high level and gave relevant instructions to the Vice-Premier.
At the meeting, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetan Chakiyev reported on preparations for the next meeting of the Turkmen-Latvian working group on transport cooperation, which will be held in Latvia on June 12-16 this year.
In addition, the Vice-Premier of Turkmenistan on economic, banking and international financial organizations Hojamuhammet Geldimyradov briefed on the work done on drawing up the local budget of the city of Arkadag. As the Vice-Premier noted, preparations for the opening of the new city are currently carried out at an accelerated pace, the Administration and structural subdivisions of ministries and sectoral agencies have been established there and necessary measures are being taken to ensure their organized activities.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said this work should be based on the priorities of the state socio-economic policy, on the basis of systematic and thorough study of all criteria, and addressed a number of specific instructions to the Vice-Premier.
The government meeting discussed the socio-economic development of the country and considered drafts of some documents.
