Turkmenistan to Launch National Innovation Contest “Digital Solution – 2025”

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan is set to launch a nationwide innovation competition titled “Digital Solution – 2025”, aimed at promoting digital development and identifying talented youth across the country. The initiative was announced by Mammethan Chakyev, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, during a regular online meeting of the Cabinet chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the competition will focus on several key technological fields, including artificial intelligence, robotics and automation, smart agriculture, smart cities, digital education and e-learning, e-health, and various digital services.

President Berdimuhamedov welcomed the proposal, emphasizing that the annual contest reflects Turkmenistan’s strategic commitment to building a robust digital economy. He noted that the active involvement of young people in software development and innovative projects signifies encouraging progress within the sector.

The Head of State officially approved the proposal and instructed the relevant agency to proceed with preparations for the competition.

In addition, during the same Cabinet session, Deputy Prime Minister Nökerguly Atagulyyev reported on the ongoing preparations for an exhibition of Turkmenistan’s export products, scheduled to be held in Türkiye.
