Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A meeting of the Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States was held on March 27, 2026, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, focusing on strengthening bilateral economic ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current state of trade and economic relations and discussed prospects for further development. The participants underscored the importance of maintaining regular and meaningful dialogue at various levels, noting that existing cooperation mechanisms continue to play an effective role in enhancing bilateral partnership.

Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council, whose annual meetings were highlighted as a key platform for fostering business engagement and facilitating economic collaboration between the two countries.

The discussions also centered on expanding investment cooperation and advancing joint projects involving American companies. Officials noted that the positive outcomes achieved over the past year reflect the steady growth of bilateral relations and the increasing scope of practical cooperation.

Both parties agreed that the bilateral economic agenda holds considerable potential and stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to unlock new opportunities. They reaffirmed their commitment to promoting sustainable economic growth and diversifying mutual trade turnover, aiming to elevate cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
