UAE Condemns Israeli Settlement Expansion, Military Escalation in Gaza

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned Israel’s newly announced settlement plan in the occupied West Bank and denounced the ongoing large-scale military operations in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stressed that such practices constitute grave violations of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. The Ministry underlined that the actions undermine regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

MoFA further warned of the catastrophic consequences of continued aggression, including worsening humanitarian suffering and heightened threats to regional security and stability.

The UAE reiterated its call for the immediate cessation of settlement expansion and military operations. It also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities in putting an end to these violations and in advancing a credible political process that ensures a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on international legitimacy.
