UAE Football Association Celebrates Ninth National Sports Day with Unity and Sportsmanship
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Today, the UAE Football Association (UAEFA) orchestrated a series of sporting events at its Dubai headquarters in commemoration of the ninth National Sports Day, themed “The UAE Unites Us.”
Aligned with the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the National Sports Day serves as a symbol of unity and solidarity within Emirati society. It aims to foster harmony across the community through participation in sports, leisure activities, and cultural pursuits.
The day’s activities drew the participation of staff from various departments and members of the technical staff of the UAE national teams. The diverse range of recreational sports commenced with a walking challenge and culminated in spirited football matches involving employees from various UAEFA departments.
Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the UAEFA, emphasized the significance of National Sports Day as a premier social sporting event motivating community members to engage in various sports. He reaffirmed the UAEFA’s commitment to participating annually in this vital sporting occasion, aligning with the national leadership’s guidance across humanitarian, social, sporting, and cultural endeavors.
