UAE National Pavilion Draws Strong International Interest on Second Day of EDEX 2025

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: The UAE National Pavilion continued to attract widespread attention from international delegations and leading defence and security companies on the second day of the fourth edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025).
As the largest pavilion at the exhibition, covering more than 1,000 square metres, the UAE Pavilion stands as a prominent feature of EDEX 2025. It is organised by ADNEC Group with the support of the UAE Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council, and brings together major Emirati entities including Tawazun, EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, AMMROC, Al Jundi magazine, and the organisers of IDEX and NAVDEX 2027.
Senior military officials, defence leaders, and key stakeholders from around the world visited the pavilion, expressing strong interest in the advanced systems and technologies showcased by Emirati companies. Delegations from Bahrain, Russia, Egypt, Djibouti, and Kuwait were among those who toured the pavilion, underscoring its role as a central platform for international defence cooperation.
High-level Egyptian officials were among the most notable visitors. Emirati companies also conducted a series of bilateral meetings aimed at exploring future collaboration in defence and advanced technology sectors.
Jasim Al Marzouqi, CEO of AMMROC, met with senior Egyptian officials to discuss ongoing cooperation and opportunities for expanded partnership in aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, and technical support systems.
“Our participation in Egypt Defence Expo 2025 has highlighted AMMROC’s growing role as a leading regional centre for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul,” Al Marzouqi said. He added that the UAE is committed to strengthening defence cooperation with Egypt and regional partners. He also noted that AMMROC signed strategic memoranda of understanding with the Arab Organisation for Industrialization covering airframe and systems cooperation, engine parts manufacturing, and helicopter systems support.
“These agreements mark a new phase of partnership with our brothers in Egypt,” he said, adding that the collaborations support fleet readiness and establish long-term defence and aviation cooperation.
GAL also expanded its industrial footprint through several strategic partnerships announced within the UAE Pavilion. Abdelrahman Alhammadi, Acting CEO of GAL, said the company’s participation at EDEX 2025 reinforces its role in advancing mission-readiness and aviation support capabilities across the region.
“The strategic MoUs we signed strengthen our technical expertise, enhance maintenance and logistics solutions, and support stronger industrial links across the Middle East and Africa,” he said.
The UAE Pavilion continues to capture the attention of officials, visitors, and regional media, reflecting the UAE’s advanced capabilities in defence and technology industries and highlighting the depth of UAE–Egypt cooperation across defence and economic sectors.
