UAE President Congratulates Newly Elected Lebanese President in Phone Call
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his congratulations to His Excellency Joseph Aoun on his election as President of Lebanon during a phone call today.
During the conversation, His Highness conveyed his best wishes to President Aoun, expressing hope for his success in leading Lebanon towards achieving its people’s aspirations for development and stability. He highlighted the UAE’s commitment to supporting Lebanon’s security and stability and emphasized the importance of collaboration for the mutual benefit and prosperity of both nations.
In a significant step towards bolstering diplomatic ties, the leaders agreed to take necessary measures to reopen the UAE Embassy in Beirut, signaling renewed bilateral engagement.
President Aoun expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed for the warm sentiments and congratulatory message. He affirmed his dedication to enhancing the relationship between Lebanon and the UAE, praising the UAE’s consistent support for Lebanon at various levels.
The two leaders also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and explored ways to deepen cooperation across various sectors, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing regional security and stability.
