UAE President Hosts Egyptian El-Sisi for High-Level Talks in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held discussions with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt during the latter’s working visit to the UAE. The talks underscored the strong ties between the two nations and explored ways to deepen collaboration across development, economic, and investment sectors.
The leaders highlighted the importance of these initiatives in meeting the aspirations of their peoples for progress and prosperity.
The meeting also covered regional and international issues of mutual interest. Sheikh Mohamed and President El-Sisi welcomed the recently announced ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the critical need for adequate humanitarian aid to reach the enclave. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to the two-state solution as the foundation for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
Sheikh Mohamed commended Egypt’s significant role in supporting the Palestinian people and its instrumental efforts in mediating the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Additionally, the leaders expressed optimism about the election of Joseph Aoun as Lebanon’s president, viewing it as a step toward restoring stability in the country. They also reaffirmed their support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, stressing the need for an inclusive political process involving all sectors of Syrian society.
