UAE President receives PM of Georgia
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received at Qasr Al Shati Palace here, Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, currently on a working visit to the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Prime Minister Garibashvili, and conveyed his greetings to Salome Zourabichvili, President of Georgia, wishing her good health and further progress and prosperity to Georgia and its people. Garibashvili conveyed the greeting of the Georgian President and her wishes of continued progress and prosperity to the UAE and its people.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the friendship ties and various aspects of cooperation between their countries and the prospects for advancing bilateral relations in economic, investment, trade and agriculture domains.
The latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest featured high in the meeting.
President Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the UAE’s keenness to build fruitful cooperation and partnerships with friendly countries to serve their common development goals.
The two sides expressed their aspiration to further advance the UAE-Georgian ties towards a comprehensive economic partnership, whose first round of talks was launched by the two countries last September.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President.
