UAE Welcomes 15th Group of Wounded Palestinian Children and Cancer Patients

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) welcomed the 15th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients on Friday, as part of a humanitarian initiative directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative aims to provide medical treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip at UAE hospitals.

Departing from Al Arish International Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the plane carrying the patients landed at Zayed International Airport in the UAE. The group comprised 27 patients in urgent need of medical assistance, accompanied by 60 family members.

Upon arrival, dedicated medical teams promptly transferred the wounded and those requiring immediate care to hospitals for treatment. Simultaneously, other patients and their companions were transferred to their accommodations at the Emirates Humanitarian City.

Relatives of the patients expressed heartfelt gratitude to the UAE and its wise leadership for this noble humanitarian initiative. They lauded the initiative as a remarkable demonstration of solidarity and support among sisterly nations, highlighting the UAE’s swift response and unwavering commitment to assisting Palestinians during challenging times.

Furthermore, they commended the tireless efforts of medical and volunteer teams who provided indispensable support to the patients throughout their journey, underscoring the UAE’s compassionate and humanitarian ethos.

The UAE’s steadfast support for Gaza has been evident since the onset of the crisis, with initiatives like “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” aimed at providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the UAE has established a 150-bed field hospital in Gaza and the Floating Hospital in Al Arish port, equipped with essential medical facilities including operating rooms, intensive care units, radiology, laboratories, pharmacies, and medical cabinets.

The arrival of the 15th group of patients underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to alleviating the suffering of Palestinians and providing them with access to essential medical care, reaffirming its position as a leading advocate for humanitarian causes worldwide.
