Serbian President visits Wahat Al Karama
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Serbia, today visited Wahat Al Karama, which commemorates the sacrifices and heroic deeds of the UAE martyrs to defend their homeland and protect it, as part of his official visit to the UAE.
Upon his arrival, the Serbian President was welcomed by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Executive Director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
They attended the Guard of Honor ceremony, which was followed by the Serbian President laying a wreath at the Martyr’s Monument, which comprises 31 panels leaning on one another to symbolize the unity and solidarity between the UAE’s leadership, people and heroic soldiers.
President Vucic then toured Wahat Al Karama, where he was briefed by Sheikh Khalifa about the memorial, which embodies the sacrifices of valiant Emirati soldiers.
At the end of the tour, Vucic wrote a note on the memorial’s guest book, expressing his utmost appreciation for the brave martyrs of the UAE.
