UK announces to improve nuclear warheads
London, The Gulf Observer: In addition to modernizing nuclear weapons, the UK will also upgrade its nuclear warheads.
According to media reports with reference to foreign media that this is stated in the published plan of the British Armed Forces for the next years.
The document mentions that in 2016, the British parliament voted to upgrade the nuclear deterrent and replace the Vanguard-class submarines with four new Dreadnought-class submarines. The first submarine of this type will be commissioned in the early 2030s.
It is noted that nuclear warheads will also be changed to ensure the effectiveness of deterrents during the operation of “Dreadnought” type submarines. Submarines and replacement warheads are developed and created in the country.
