UWED Hosts Summit of Young Diplomats

Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: Yesterday, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) welcomed participants of the “Summit of Young Diplomats” as part of the “World Youth Festival” organized in Samarkand, according to media reports. The delegation of young representatives from various countries was received by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of UWED, Sodyq Safoev.

In his address, Safoev congratulated the summit participants on the event’s inauguration in Uzbekistan, highlighting its significance as a vital platform for fostering cooperation among youth leaders. He emphasized the importance of the state youth policy in Uzbekistan and its crucial role for the younger generation and the country’s future.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to UWED through presentations detailing the university’s activities, its faculties, and the Student Council.

The summit participants also had the opportunity to share their achievements, express their opinions and wishes, and engage in a Q&A session. According to UWED, representatives from 40 countries are participating in the “Summit of Young Diplomats.”
