Uzbekistan and Iran Presidents Hold Bilateral Meeting in Ashgabat

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On the sidelines of the International Forum in Ashgabat, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian. The leaders held comprehensive discussions on enhancing multifaceted relations between their two countries.

Both presidents expressed satisfaction with the ongoing active contacts and productive exchanges at various levels, highlighting the notable growth in trade turnover and the increasing number of joint ventures between Uzbekistan and Iran. The importance of bolstering existing partnerships and swiftly implementing cooperation projects was underscored, with particular emphasis on expanding the list of products traded under the Preferential Trade Agreement.

During their meeting, Presidents Mirziyoyev and Pezeshkian also exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues, reaffirming their commitment to continue collaborative efforts aimed at fostering stability and development in the region.
