Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: In a bid to strengthen cross-border tourism collaboration, the Embassy of Uzbekistan provided crucial support for the participation of the Tourism Department of Surkhandarya region and representatives of travel companies in an international tourism exhibition hosted in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan. This initiative, reported by Uzbek media, aimed to facilitate B2B negotiations and enhance mutual cooperation between tourism entities from both countries.

Within the framework of the exhibition, representatives from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan engaged in productive B2B negotiations, paving the way for the signing of several agreements between tourism firms of the two nations. These agreements signify a commitment to fostering collaboration, promoting tourism, and creating avenues for mutual benefit.

As part of the visit, the delegation from the Surkhandarya region had the opportunity to explore the “Safed Dara” winter resort area in Tajikistan. The visit provided valuable insights into the ongoing developments in the region, including the infrastructure and facilities designed to enhance the overall customer experience.

The international tourism exhibition served as a platform not only for business discussions but also for cultural exchange and the strengthening of people-to-people ties.
