Baku, The Gulf Observer: Sharma Al Mazrui, the esteemed “Young Climate Champion” of COP28 and Minister of Community Development of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), embarked on a visit to Azerbaijan where she held a significant meeting with Mukhtar Babayev, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. The meeting, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, centered around preparations for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), to be hosted by Azerbaijan.

During the fruitful discussion, Minister Al Mazrui and Minister Babayev exchanged ideas on enhancing cooperation and coordinating efforts for the upcoming COP29.
