Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Following the third meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a Joint Declaration aimed at deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
In a ceremony held in the presence of both leaders, 19 documents were signed, covering a wide range of issues pertaining to a multifaceted partnership. The agreements and protocols signed include:
- Agreement on Cooperation in Scientific Exchange and High Technologies: Enhancing bilateral collaboration in scientific research and technological innovation.
- Agreement on Strengthening Cooperation in Regional Development: Fostering joint initiatives to support regional growth and development.
- Agreement on Cooperation in Standardization: Harmonizing standards to facilitate trade and economic cooperation.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Providing Technical Assistance for Uzbekistan’s WTO Accession: Offering technical support to aid Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Space Science, Technology, and Research: Promoting joint space exploration and technological advancements.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Agricultural Education: Improving educational programs and training in agriculture.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Energy Development: Joint efforts to advance energy production and sustainability.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Culture: Enhancing cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Information: Strengthening collaboration in information sharing and communication.
- Protocol on Cooperation on Cadastre Issues: Joint management and development of cadastral systems.
- Protocol on Cooperation in the Tourism Sector: Promoting tourism and related industries.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Supporting the Institution of Family and Women: Fostering initiatives that support families and women’s empowerment.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Management Training: Enhancing leadership and management training programs.
- Protocol on Cooperation in Advanced Training in the Legal Field: Improving legal education and training.
Additionally, bilateral documents on preferential trade, regulation of the energy market, and an Action Plan to expand cooperation in agriculture were adopted.
The signing of these agreements marks a significant step forward in the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, highlighting a commitment to mutual growth and development across various sectors.
