Uzbekistan-China Trade, Economic, Investment, and Tourism Forum Bolsters Bilateral Cooperation
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: In a proactive initiative to strengthen economic ties and foster mutual investment opportunities, the “Uzbekistan-China: Trade-Economic, Investment, and Tourism Forum” was convened at the Uzbek embassy in Beijing. The forum was organized in collaboration with the Khorezm regional administration and the China Overseas Industry Development Association, marking a pivotal step in promoting bilateral relations between the two nations.
The event, held during the practical visit to Beijing by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Ilzat Kasimov, provided a platform for comprehensive discussions on trade, investment, tourism, and collaborative ventures.
Participants were briefed on the extensive reforms underway in various sectors within the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan. Detailed presentations highlighted the region’s economic potential, tourism attractions, and the favorable investment climate cultivated for foreign investors. Emphasis was placed on the development of new tourist destinations and the incentives available within free economic and industrial zones established in Khorezm.
During his address, Jiang Yun, the General Secretary of the China Overseas Industry Development Association, underscored the expanding scope of multilateral cooperation between business entities from both countries. Yun expressed strong interest among Chinese companies in leveraging opportunities within Uzbekistan’s market.
The forum facilitated interactive sessions where Chinese business representatives engaged with officials from Khorezm region, receiving comprehensive responses to queries and exploring potential collaborations.
In a focused segment of the forum, business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-business (G2B) negotiations took place, resulting in agreements on diverse projects across mutually beneficial sectors. Notably, several cooperation documents were signed, formalizing commitments to bolster collaboration and project implementation.
The Uzbekistan-China forum exemplifies a concerted effort to forge enduring partnerships, stimulate economic growth, and unlock new avenues of cooperation between the business communities of both countries.
