Uzbekistan Delegation Participates in Pakistan Mega Leather Show 2025

Lahore, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, participated in the Pakistan Mega Leather Show 2025, held at the Expo Centre Lahore. The prestigious event, organized by the Pakistan Tanners Association, gathered key industry representatives, including members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, the Uzcharmsanoat Association, and entrepreneurs from Surkhandarya.

During the exhibition, Uzbekistan representatives explored a wide range of products from leather and wool processing industries, along with offerings from manufacturers of finished goods and suppliers of chemical products. The delegation engaged in discussions with exhibitors, fostering dialogue on potential collaborations and industry developments.

A key highlight of the event was the roundtable discussion dedicated to sheep skin processing. During the session, participants were briefed on Uzbekistan’s market landscape, highlighting the demand for footwear, apparel, and sporting goods, as well as the incentives available for foreign investors.

As a significant outcome of the discussions, an agreement was reached for a delegation from the Pakistan Tanners Association to visit Uzbekistan in April 2025. This visit aims to facilitate an in-depth analysis of industry-specific production opportunities and assess the raw material base, paving the way for potential bilateral investments and cooperation.

The Uzbekistan delegation was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Uzbekistan in Punjab province, Najeeb Vohra, underscoring the importance of strengthening trade and industrial ties between the two nations.
