Uzbekistan, France to launch degree programs
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: At forum expansion of direct bilateral cooperation with French universities, establishment of joint education and double degree programs in a number of areas, short and long-term lectures by French experts at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, organization of seminars, exchange of students and professors, about 10 memoranda of understanding, agreements and roadmaps were signed on training, development of cooperation in scientific activities.
The conference was attended by a delegation of more than 20 heads of higher education institutions headed by the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education A. Toshkulov, and more than 150 rectors, representatives of scientific and industrial circles from France. The forum is held as part of the traditional annual “Campus France-2022 meetings”.
The signed documents mainly serve to establish the “International Hotel Management” master’s program in a number of educational institutions of the republic, to improve the qualifications of pedagogical staff, and to introduce simulation education in the field of medicine.
At the end of the dialogue, an offer was made to hold the next rectors’ forum with French universities in Uzbekistan in 2023.
