Azerbaijan and Morocco Explore Enhanced Educational Cooperation

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Nazim Samadov, met with Professor Azzedine El Midaoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of Morocco, to discuss avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of education.

The meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Rabat, focused on strengthening academic and scientific ties between the two nations. Both sides emphasized the importance of establishing institutional partnerships between higher education establishments in Azerbaijan and Morocco, alongside the conclusion of relevant cooperation agreements.

In-depth discussions were held on the next steps to advance bilateral academic cooperation. Key areas identified included reciprocal ministerial visits, the creation of student exchange programs, participation in summer academic camps, and the development of dual-degree initiatives.

The two sides also addressed the potential for Moroccan students to pursue academic studies in Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the importance of promoting the teaching of the Arabic and Azerbaijani languages was underscored as a means to foster cultural understanding and academic collaboration.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening educational ties and implementing joint projects that contribute to the long-term development of human capital in both countries.
