Uzbekistan, Tajikistan discuss border demarcation issues

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Dushanbe hosted a regular meeting of the joint Uzbek-Tajik demarcation commission’s working groups, from January 23 to 30.
During the meeting, issues of passing the project demarcation line of the state border, as well as the technological process of creating demarcation maps were discussed.
In addition, as part of the negotiations, field surveys of individual sections of the Uzbek-Tajik state border were carried out.
“The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding. Following the talks, a relevant protocol was signed,” Tajikistan’s MFA said.
The next meeting will take place on the territory of Uzbekistan.
