Uzbekistan to Host Inaugural IMMAF World Championships

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President Kerrith Brown, CEO Densign White, and Director Wissam Abi Nader of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) recently arrived in Uzbekistan to assess the country’s sports facilities and infrastructure in preparation for the upcoming World Championships. The delegation, in collaboration with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Sports, discussed crucial organizational aspects during a meeting with Minister A. Ikramov.
Uzbekistan, known for its extensive experience in hosting top-tier sporting events and recognized globally for its athlete-centric facilities, has been chosen to host the first-ever World Championships in mixed martial arts among amateurs. The decision was officially announced during a press conference attended by the IMMAF leadership, Deputy Minister of Sports Shakhrullo Makhmudov, and First Deputy Chairman of the Association of Mixed Martial Arts of Uzbekistan Sherzod Toshmatov.
The historic event, scheduled for October, marks the inaugural staging of the MMA World Championships in Central Asia. Uzbekistan’s commitment to providing exceptional conditions for athletes has earned it the privilege of hosting this prestigious international competition.
