Vietnamese Embassy in Germany Gathers Expert Insights for 14th National Party Congress Draft Documents

Berlin, The Gulf Observer: The Vietnamese Embassy in Germany on Saturday (local time) convened a seminar to gather opinions from Vietnamese intellectuals and entrepreneurs residing in Germany on the draft documents for the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.
Opening the event, Ambassador Nguyễn Đắc Thành underscored that the Party and State of Việt Nam highly value the insights and contributions of overseas Vietnamese, particularly intellectuals, experts, and entrepreneurs who combine advanced knowledge, international experience, and profound patriotism — an essential resource for national development and sustainable integration.
Participants at the seminar commended the quality of the draft documents, highlighting their concise 50-page format that effectively encapsulates the nation’s strategic directions, featuring 18 new key highlights.
Dr. Nguyễn Thái Chinh, an expert in Earth Science and Satellite Geodesy and member of the Việt–German Innovation Network (VGI), praised the documents as a reflection of the collective wisdom of the Party and people, describing each sentence as a “manifesto” guiding national and local actions.
Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Thịnh of the Technical University Dortmund, Acting President of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Germany and Chairman of VGI, applauded the Party’s decision to publicise the draft documents early for feedback from overseas intellectuals. This approach, he said, demonstrates transparency, democracy, and respect for the intellectual contributions of the Vietnamese community, while ensuring that development policies remain practical and forward-looking.
Prof. Thịnh further stressed the importance of prioritising green and renewable energy as national development pillars in line with Việt Nam’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. He urged greater focus on hydrogen technology and green architecture, as well as strategic infrastructure investments in the Mekong Delta to promote green growth through integrated transport, logistics, and energy systems that align with emission reduction goals.
Young Vietnamese professionals and researchers in Germany also contributed constructive recommendations in the fields of education, science, technology, and culture.
Nguyễn Bằng Tú, Vice President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Germany, proposed establishing a national human resource database to connect overseas Vietnamese talents with domestic job opportunities and called for the creation of a national digital competency framework.
Dr. Nguyễn Việt Tuấn of Tentamus Group suggested that Việt Nam adopt Germany’s project management models to improve efficiency in science and technology investments, while Nguyễn Sơn Thư, Chairman of the Việt–German Bridge Association, called for more clearly defined objectives in Việt Nam’s economic relations with Germany and the European Union.
On cultural development, Prof. Nguyễn Hồng Thái from the University of Stettin voiced strong support for fostering an advanced Vietnamese culture rooted in national identity and guided by core family and cultural values.
Concluding the seminar, Ambassador Nguyễn Đắc Thành expressed appreciation for the insightful and strategic contributions made by overseas Vietnamese intellectuals and entrepreneurs, affirming that their inputs will enrich the Party’s development strategies and further strengthen Việt Nam’s global standing.
