Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam arrived in Abu Dhabi today to begin an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade and head of the honorary delegation, warmly welcomed the Vietnamese Prime Minister. Also present to receive him were Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi, UAE Ambassador to Vietnam, and several high-ranking officials.

This visit underscores the shared commitment of Vietnam and the UAE to strengthening bilateral relations. Vietnam is the UAE’s largest non-oil trading partner within the ASEAN region, with non-oil trade between the two nations reaching US$6.1 billion in the first half of 2024, marking a 9% increase from the same period in 2023 and 34% from 2022. The growth highlights the robust economic ties between the countries as they explore further avenues for cooperation
