Xi Jinping Calls for Continuous Efforts to Achieve Historical and Timeless Accomplishments
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for unwavering efforts to achieve new milestones that will withstand the test of history and time, as part of the country’s drive to build a modern socialist society in all respects.
Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made these remarks during a meeting on Monday commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Qiao Shi, a former top legislator. The event was held at the Great Hall of the People.
In his address, Xi highlighted Qiao Shi’s noble character, lauding his steadfast belief in the Party’s ideals and his unwavering dedication to his mission. He urged Party members to draw lessons from Qiao’s strong Party consciousness and his commitment to enhancing Party conduct and enforcing discipline rigorously.
“Party members should learn from Qiao’s example of staying true to the Party’s founding mission and working diligently for the people,” Xi stated, emphasizing Qiao’s political commitment, courage to reform, and ability to take decisive action.
Xi also underlined the importance of respecting and promoting the rule of law, a principle Qiao consistently upheld. Furthermore, he encouraged Party members to emulate Qiao’s pragmatic approach and dedication to seeking truth from facts.
The meeting was presided over by Zhao Leji, with attendance from Cai Qi and Li Xi, all members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
Zhao emphasized the significance of Xi’s remarks, noting their relevance to advancing the cause pioneered by generations of Chinese communists. He highlighted the importance of Xi’s guidance in achieving the goals of the Party and the people as the nation progresses on its new journey in the new era.
