Young Photographers Honored in “Türkmenistan – Gözel Mekan” Environmental Photo Contest

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: A ceremony celebrating the winners of the national photography competition “Türkmenistan – gözel mekan” (Turkmenistan – A Beautiful Land) was held at the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan. Organized by the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli in collaboration with the editorial board of the Bereketli Toprak newspaper, the event marked World Environment Day and aimed to showcase the beauty and biodiversity of Turkmen nature.

As reported by Turkmenistan: Golden Age, the competition drew young photographers from across the country. Their work was featured in the pages of Bereketli Toprak, and the winners were selected by a panel of expert judges.

The Grand Prix was awarded to Ilaman Churiev, a student at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, for his outstanding photographic depiction of the natural landscape.

First place went to Diyar Ikhtyyarov, a teacher at the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi.
Second place was claimed by Myrat Bayramov, a photojournalist for the newspaper Arkadag.
Third place was awarded to Novruz Guydzhov, director of the department at the Altyn Asyr: Türkmenistan TV channel, part of the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.

An incentive prize was also awarded to Guljeren Saparova, an 8th grade student at Specialized Comprehensive School No. 140 in Ashgabat, recognizing her promising talent.

Winners received certificates of honor and valuable gifts. Their photographs will be featured in upcoming issues of Bereketli Toprak, allowing readers to appreciate the vibrant landscapes and rich biodiversity of Turkmenistan captured through the lens of its youth.
