7th Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Review Conference to kick off in Bahrain

Manama, The Gulf Observer: In the presence of Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for health (SCH) President, the Royal Medical Services (RMS) and the Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre (MKCC), will organise the 7th edition of the Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Review Conference on November 1-4.
Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, RMS Commander, stressed the importance of the conference in providing a platform for exchanging expertise among the participants, and highlighting the latest scientific findings in this specialty, including treatment methods and modern techniques, which contributes to developing the kingdom’s medical sector and improving the performance of cardiologist, which will reflect positively on the services provided to local and regional patients suffering from heart diseases.
He indicated that the conference is an international event that is usually held in the US, and is hosting exceptionally by the kingdom, adding that it brings together experienced speakers, along with more than 250 specialists from Bahrain and abroad.
He also hailed the ongoing coordination between the RMS and MKCC, noting that the operations that will be conducted during the conference at MKCC will boost such cooperation.
Brigadier Dr. Haitham Ameen, the conference chairman, said that 14 lecturers from Mayo Clinic will deliver 40 lectures on various issues related to heart diseases.
It will also feature workshops and an accompanying exhibition, he said.
