Saudi Foreign Minister Meets with UN Special Envoy for Syria in New York

New York, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs H H Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

During the meeting, Prince Faisal and Pedersen discussed ongoing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Nations to address the Syrian crisis. They also reviewed the efforts of the Arab Ministerial Liaison Committee, which seeks to promote diplomatic solutions and stabilize the region. The discussions touched upon recent developments in Syria and the broader Middle East.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the United States, H H Princess Reema bint Bandar, who joined in the discussions regarding the region’s stability and the role of international cooperation in resolving the conflict.

Saudi Arabia continues to be an active participant in multilateral efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the Syrian conflict and remains committed to working with the international community on this critical issue.
