Hamas Confirms Death of Leader Yahya Sinwar in Israeli Military Strike

Gaza City, The Gulf Observer: Khalil al-Hayya, deputy chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, announced on Friday that Yahya Sinwar, head of the Hamas Politburo, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Thursday. Al-Hayya referred to the act as a “terrorist” action by the Zionist regime, according to statements made by Hamas leadership.

In his remarks, al-Hayya emphasized that Sinwar’s commitment to the Palestinian cause remained unwavering after his release from prison, leading up to his role in the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation. He further vowed that the Hamas movement would continue its efforts until the establishment of the State of Palestine, with Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.

Al-Hayya also issued a statement regarding Israeli prisoners, asserting that their return would only occur following a complete halt of Israeli military actions in the Gaza Strip and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces. Additionally, the release of Palestinian prisoners was set as a condition for the return of Israeli captives.

This development comes amid escalating tensions and conflict in the region, with ongoing violence between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters.
