Uzbekistan Strengthens Technological Cooperation with Malaysia’s Semiconductor Industry

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilhom Khaydarov and Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association Mirziyod Yunusov met with Andrew Chan, the Director of the Malaysia Semiconductor Industry Association (MSIA), to discuss strengthening technological cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia.

The meeting highlighted Uzeltechsanoat’s ongoing collaboration with major global companies, including Intel, AMD, and Infineon, in the production of microchips and electronic components. The discussions focused on expanding partnerships in the semiconductor and electronics sectors to foster innovation and technological advancement.

During the meeting, Mr. Chan provided detailed information about the MSIA, which is regarded as a leading organization in Malaysia, dedicated to the development of the semiconductor and electrical engineering industries. The MSIA unites hundreds of top companies, playing a pivotal role in ensuring global market integration. Key areas of the Association’s activities include implementing innovative technologies, workforce development, and fostering collaboration between the government and the private sector.

Both parties expressed their commitment to implementing projects and taking necessary measures to further strengthen cooperation in the technology and semiconductor industries, with a focus on enhancing mutual benefits and technological expertise.
