Azerbaijan–Saudi Energy Partnership Reaches New Level: President Aliyev

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has highlighted the growing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia in the energy sector, noting that bilateral relations have reached a new level.
The Azerbaijani head of state made the remarks in a congratulatory letter addressed to His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of the Kingdom’s National Day — the Proclamation of the Kingdom.
President Aliyev praised the activities of Saudi Arabia’s leading company, ACWA Power, in Azerbaijan’s renewable energy sector, particularly the construction of the Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Plant. He emphasized that the facility, set to become the largest wind power plant in the Caucasus region, represents a major step in diversifying Azerbaijani-Saudi economic cooperation.
“At the same time, the current level of our mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of OPEC+ is commendable,” President Aliyev added.
The Azerbaijani leader reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening ties with Saudi Arabia across strategic sectors, including energy, investment, and sustainable development.
