Turkmenistan and Algeria Foreign Ministers Hold Talks on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation on November 17, 2025, with Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
According to the Turkmen side, the discussion focused on key items on the bilateral agenda, with both officials exchanging views on enhancing Turkmen-Algerian cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
The ministers noted the constructive collaboration between the two countries within international platforms, particularly under the framework of the United Nations, and emphasized the importance of further strengthening multilateral engagement.
During the conversation, Meredov and Attaf also reviewed preparations for the upcoming International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled to take place on December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat. Both sides expressed readiness to continue close coordination ahead of the event.
