PM Shehbaz Sharif, Sultan Haitham Discuss Regional Situation, Reaffirm Bilateral Ties

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday received a telephone call from the Sultan of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and matters of mutual interest.

During the warm and cordial conversation, both leaders exchanged greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid, conveying their heartfelt wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of Pakistan, Oman, and the wider Muslim Ummah.

Expressing Pakistan’s solidarity with the brotherly people of Oman over the loss of precious lives and injuries resulting from recent attacks in various parts of the country, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and constructive dialogue in the region.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Oman, rooted in mutual respect and shared values.

In this context, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his invitation to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience. The Prime Minister also responded positively to the Sultan’s gracious invitation to visit Oman on mutually agreed dates.

Both sides expressed confidence that ongoing engagement at the highest level would contribute to enhancing bilateral cooperation and promoting regional harmony.
