Wizz Air to Launch Direct Bratislava–Baku Flights from September 29

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Heydar Aliyev International Airport has announced the launch of a new direct scheduled air service between Bratislava and Baku, further expanding its international route network.

According to the airport authorities, Wizz Air, Europe’s largest low-cost airline, will commence direct flights on the Bratislava–Baku–Bratislava route from September 29, 2026.

The new service will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering passengers greater travel flexibility and improved connectivity between Azerbaijan and Slovakia.

The launch of the route is expected to strengthen air links between the two countries, facilitate both leisure and business travel, and provide travellers with more affordable and convenient access to one of Central Europe’s emerging destinations.

Airport officials described the new connection as another significant milestone in the ongoing expansion of Heydar Aliyev International Airport’s international route network, aimed at enhancing regional and global connectivity.

Tickets for the new service are now available through Wizz Air’s official website and other authorised sales channels.
