Algerian, Pakistani Foreign Ministers Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties in New York

New York, The Gulf Observer: Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs Ahmed Attaf met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar in New York on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the two sides to hold detailed discussions on ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Algeria and Pakistan, with particular focus on investment, economic cooperation, trade, higher education and cultural exchanges.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Middle East. They underscored the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic efforts to address prevailing challenges and promote peace and stability.

The two sides also welcomed the strong level of coordination and cooperation between Algeria and Pakistan within multilateral forums, particularly the United Nations.

The meeting was held as part of Minister Ahmed Attaf’s engagements on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
