Turkmen President sends condolences over deadly bombing at Peshawar mosque
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent condolences to Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif over a terrorist attack at a mosque in the city of Peshawar that resulted in numerous deaths and injuries, the official Turkmen media reported on Wednesday.
“Resolutely opposing any manifestations of terrorism and extremism, Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts of the world community in countering and eradicating this evil,” President Berdimuhamedov said in his message.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well on his own behalf, conveyed words of deep empathy and support at this difficult moment to the families and friends of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
According to the media reports, 101 people were killed and about 200 were injured in Monday’s terrorist attack at a mosque in Peshawar.
