Iran’s Navy chief in Russia for Navy Day parades

Moscow, The Gulf Observer: During an official visit to Russia, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani expressed his force’s unwavering commitment to achieving a strong and successful international presence.

Admiral Irani arrived in St. Petersburg on Saturday to take part in the celebrations of Russian Navy Day, which will be attended by President Vladimir Putin and senior military officials from 21 countries on Sunday.

Admiral Irani highlighted the significance of “naval diplomacy” and pointed to the annual joint exercises conducted with the navies of Russia and China.

During his visit, the Iranian navy commander is scheduled to meet with his Russian counterpart, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, and other senior military officials to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Three Iranian naval vessels will participate in the Russian Navy parades in the Caspian Sea.
