President Raisi congratulates Indonesia on Independence Day
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Ebrahim Raisi has congratulated the Indonesian government and people on the Southeast Asian country’s independence.
In a message to President Joko Widodo, Raisi also highlighted the important role of Indonesia in maintaining international peace and stability, supporting the ideal of the Non-Aligned Movement, and confronting unilateralism.
He expressed hopes that the friendly cooperation between Tehran and Jakarta would be further developed in the light of the political will of the leaders of the two countries and by making use of the significant bilateral capacities and capabilities.
Back in May, Raisi visited Indonesia at the invitation of his counterpart, marking the first presidential visit between the two countries in 17 years.
