Shavkat Mirziyoyev Discusses Strategic Reforms with Advisor Suma Chakrabarti
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Suma Chakrabarti, Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Public Administration, and International Cooperation, to review the implementation progress of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy under this year’s State Program and explore prospects for advancing reforms in the coming year.
The discussions focused on key priorities, including the training and professional development of public administration personnel, a critical factor in ensuring the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.
The meeting also addressed Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Both sides emphasized the importance of accelerating the harmonization of national legislation with WTO rules and requirements while continuing efforts to enhance Uzbekistan’s global rankings in competitiveness and economic performance.
President Mirziyoyev underscored the urgency of timely execution of planned projects and encouraged the inclusion of new initiatives to strengthen the country’s strategic agenda. He highlighted the significance of aligning these efforts with the objectives of the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy, which Uzbekistan has declared as a central theme for the current year.
The meeting reaffirmed the country’s commitment to sustainable economic growth, enhanced governance, and proactive international cooperation as part of its long-term development vision.
