Maybank Indonesia to Launch 2024 Maybank Marathon

Gianyar, Bali, The Gulf Observer: Maybank Indonesia officially unveiled the Maybank Marathon, a World Athletics’ Elite Label road race scheduled for August 25. The announcement took place at the Bali United training center in Gianyar, Bali, during a press conference attended by Maybank Indonesia President Director Taswin Zakaria, Maybank Marathon Project Director Widya Permana, Secretary-General of the Indonesian Athletic Association (PB PASI) Tigor Tanjung, members of the media, and event partners.

The 2024 Maybank Marathon, designated as a World Athletics’ Elite Label event, will feature competitions in the marathon, half-marathon, and 10k categories, along with a children’s sprint. The total prize pool for the event exceeds Rp 2.7 billion. Race pack collection is scheduled for August 23-24 at the Bali United training center.

Maybank Indonesia expressed gratitude for the success of the 2023 Maybank Marathon, which attracted over 13,000 runners. The positive response served as a milestone, motivating organizers to raise the standards for the upcoming event. Taswin emphasized the commitment to providing a platform for global running enthusiasts to achieve their aspirations and excel at the Maybank Marathon.

During the press conference, Taswin announced the relocation of the race venue and race pack collection to the Bali United training center. This decision underscores Maybank Indonesia’s dedication to enhancing the event’s quality and prioritizing the comfort and safety of participants and the overall event.
