Algerian Embassy in Islamabad Begins Voting for National People’s Assembly Elections

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Voting for the election of members of Algeria’s National People’s Assembly commenced on Tuesday at the Embassy of Algeria in Islamabad, with polling set to continue for three days until July 2, 2026.
The election process is being conducted to enable members of the Algerian community residing in Pakistan to exercise their constitutional right to vote in the parliamentary elections.
The Algerian Embassy said it had made comprehensive administrative, logistical, and human resource arrangements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the electoral process, describing the elections as an important national milestone that reflects Algeria’s commitment to strengthening its constitutional institutions and advancing its democratic process.
According to the embassy, the opening day of voting witnessed a strong turnout from members of the Algerian community living in Pakistan, reflecting their commitment to fulfilling their national responsibility and participating in the democratic process.
The embassy noted that the active participation of overseas Algerians demonstrates their continued attachment to their homeland and their contribution to the country’s ongoing path of renewal and development.
The Algerian Embassy has also reminded eligible voters that the polling station at the embassy will remain open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through Thursday, July 2, encouraging all members of the Algerian community in Pakistan to cast their ballots before the close of voting.
