Arab Parliament President Praises UAE’s Leadership in Smart Justice and Judicial Digital Transformation

Arab Parliament

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yammahi, President of the Arab Parliament, has lauded the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its rapid and pioneering development in the justice sector, achieved through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and comprehensive digital transformation within the judicial system.

Speaking at the opening session of the Fourth International Conference of the Arab Union of Administrative Judiciary (AUAJ) in Cairo, Al Yammahi commended the UAE Ministry of Justice, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, and the Dubai Courts for launching a series of innovative digital initiatives. These include virtual courts, remote litigation, and the implementation of smart systems for judicial case management — all of which, he noted, have paved the way for the emergence of the concept of “smart justice” in the UAE.

Al Yammahi emphasised that these advancements represent a significant leap forward in judicial efficiency, accessibility, and transparency, aligning with the UAE’s broader national vision of digital governance and innovation.

He further highlighted that the Arab world possesses several distinguished experiences in the use of artificial intelligence in administrative justice, with the UAE standing out as a leading model. The UAE’s achievements in modernising judicial systems, he said, deserve international recognition and can serve as a valuable inspiration for developing comparative judicial systems beyond the Arab region.

The conference brought together senior judicial officials, legal scholars, and representatives from Arab and international institutions to discuss the role of digital transformation in enhancing administrative justice and promoting innovation in judicial systems across the region.
