On this festive day, retro hits – wonderful melodies and songs loved by generations of Turkmen people – were also performed from the stage by Turkmen pop masters. Over the years, they have not lost their enchanting warmth and freshness.

The hall applauded the wonderful examples of national and foreign song and musical classics, modern works, and original vocal and choreographic compositions.

The festive concert was decorated with the number “Bilezik” (“Bracelet”), which organically combined a song dedicated to the national heritage, a bright performance by a folk group and a demonstration of samples of national clothing and jewelry.

The song “Ýaşasyn parahat durmuş!”, beloved by the Turkmen people, became a real musical gift for the audience. (“Long live peaceful life!”), to the words of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

This inspirational song sounded like a beautiful melody of a country striving for peace and a bright future.

The warmth of hearts, sincerity and talent of the artists found a warm response from the audience, and the use of modern audiovisual technologies gave the festive performance special brightness and originality, turning each number into a kind of mini-performance.

One of these performances was the ancient ritual performance “Kushtdepdi”, performed by the ensemble “Dehistan” and the united collective of folklore groups of the country. This issue was full of details reflecting the wonderful national traditions and customs, hospitality, friendliness and tolerance of the Turkmen people.

The powerful final chord of the celebration was the song – congratulations on Independence Day (“Gutly bolsun Garaşsyzlyk baýramy!”), performed by all participants of the festive concert as a pathetic ode to an independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan.
