Azerbaijan and Morocco Strengthen Diaspora Ties through Community Meeting

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, met with members of the Azerbaijani community and the Moroccan-Azerbaijani Friendship Association in Rabat, Morocco, as reported by News Hub Consultants.
The event commenced with the national anthems of Morocco and Azerbaijan, followed by a solemn tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In his address, Muradov emphasized that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s diaspora policy has evolved with renewed priorities, reinforcing connections with Azerbaijanis abroad. He expressed gratitude for the active involvement of the Azerbaijani community in Morocco and their efforts in promoting national interests.
Nazim Samadov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Morocco, highlighted the growing friendship between the two nations and acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Azerbaijani diaspora in strengthening bilateral ties.
Muhammad Fakiri, President of the Moroccan-Azerbaijani Friendship Association, extended his gratitude to the committee for organizing the event and expressed hope for further collaboration in deepening relations between the two communities.
The meeting featured presentations on the State Committee’s initiatives, including Azerbaijani Houses abroad, Coordination Councils, and weekend schools. Videos were also shown featuring President Aliyev’s speeches on Azerbaijan’s victory in Karabakh, which resonated deeply with the audience.
Moroccans who had studied in Azerbaijan appreciated the opportunity to reconnect and reiterated their commitment to advancing state-community relations and promoting Azerbaijani culture in Morocco.
The event concluded with an iftar dinner, jointly organized by the State Committee and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Morocco, fostering an atmosphere of unity and friendship.
