Azerbaijan-Pakistan Business Forum Highlights Strategic Partnership
Baku, The Gulf Observer: At the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Business Forum held in Baku on Monday, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), emphasized the strong bond of friendship, strategic partnership, and mutual respect between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. He noted that 2024 has been a remarkable year for business cooperation between the two nations.
Mammadov highlighted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KOBIA and Pakistan’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) during a recent state visit by the President of Azerbaijan to Pakistan. He also expressed optimism about expanding cooperation with the Chamber of Small Business and Industrialists of Islamabad and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which he believes will benefit the business communities of both countries.
“We look forward to seeing more Pakistani companies in Azerbaijan,” Mammadov remarked, stressing the potential for further collaboration. He also underscored the opportunities for business initiatives in Azerbaijan’s liberated areas, with KOBIA ready to coordinate new ventures.
Additionally, Mammadov announced that Azerbaijan will host its first Halal Business Forum on October 8-9, 2024, and extended an invitation to Pakistani companies to participate in the event.
The forum highlighted the growing economic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, with both countries committed to deepening business ties and exploring new opportunities for mutual growth.
