Azerbaijani Paralympic Delegation Visits Uzbekistan to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from the National Paralympic Committee of Azerbaijan visited Uzbekistan to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the Paralympic movement, according to local news reports.
Led by Toghrul Rahimov, Secretary General of the Azerbaijani committee, the delegation toured the administrative building of the Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan and held discussions with Hikmat Toshmatov, Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Paralympic Committee, and Mardonbek Davronov, Advisor to the Chairman.
The meetings focused on the development of the Paralympic movement in both countries, enhancing existing cooperation, and addressing medical classification matters.
On the first day of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also toured the newly built Olympic and Paralympic Village in Tashkent, highlighting Uzbekistan’s commitment to advancing sports infrastructure for athletes with disabilities.
