Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Addresses High-Level Meeting at 80th UN General Assembly

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the High-Level Meeting on the Global Development Initiative, convened on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
In his remarks, Minister Bayramov underscored that the long-standing friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China have recently been elevated to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for China’s Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, Global Civilization Initiative, as well as the newly announced Global Climate Initiative.
According to Bayramov, these initiatives are of great significance as they promote peace, stability, and shared prosperity across the world.
The minister further stressed Azerbaijan’s role as a reliable partner in advancing regional cooperation. He highlighted the country’s contributions to peace, enhanced connectivity, and sustainable development through transformative projects such as the East-West and North-South transport corridors. In particular, he emphasized the importance of the Middle Corridor, which serves as a vital link connecting China and Central Asia with Europe.
