China and Cambodia Strengthen Strategic Ties Through High-Level Talks
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC), met with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of Cambodia’s Senate and Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), in Beijing on Wednesday. The discussions reaffirmed the close ties between the two nations and their commitment to building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
Zhao, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, highlighted the deepening cooperation between the countries, emphasizing a new era of high-quality, high-level, and high-standard collaboration. He underscored China’s readiness to strengthen mutual support, practical cooperation, and cultural exchanges based on the consensus reached by the leaders of both parties.
Zhao also expressed the NPC’s willingness to enhance dialogue and cooperation with Cambodia’s Senate and National Assembly to contribute to bilateral and multilateral objectives.
Hun Sen recognized the pivotal role of Cambodia-China cooperation in driving Cambodia’s economic development and poverty alleviation efforts. He reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to fostering all-round friendly relations and advancing the construction of the Cambodia-China community with a shared future.
The meeting underscores the continued momentum in China-Cambodia relations, reinforcing their strategic partnership in the region.
